Set above the city with sweeping views, the CloudM Bar already feels suspended in the sky. We built on that atmosphere by drawing inspiration from clouds, the London skyline, and the botanicals used in Bombay Sapphire gin. A light blue, airy palette and playful illustrated elements created a whimsical, sky-like world for guests to step into.
The takeover featured custom ceramics—including teapots, teacups, dinner and dessert plates—a fictional newspaper, menus, large-scale window vinyls that complemented the skyline, and a selfie mirror. I also created an engraved illustration for oversized cocktail glasses, subtly reimagining the Bombay Sapphire crest. The installation was launched in summer 2022 and was very well received.

I started by sketching a variety of motifs inspired by the brief, from botanicals to skyline details. Borderland Creative selected key elements, which we refined into final designs for the ceramics and the full bar environment. After the initial collaborative meeting with Bombay Sapphire and CitizenM, I worked directly with Borderland Creative to bring the illustrated 360° experience together.
