Bespoke FAQs

  • How does the Bespoke Process Work?

After completing your purchase, you'll receive a payment confirmation email with a form to fill out with your design requirements.

The lead time begins once you submit the form. I will complete the first stage and share it with you, at which point you can request up to two rounds of minor adjustments.

My standard lead time is 4-6 weeks. While the first part of the process moves quickly, please keep in mind that the later stages—especially colouring and firing—take the most time.

  • Can I change the design if I don't like it?

You can request up to two rounds of minor adjustments.

Amendments refer to small refinements, such as adjusting facial features, altering details, or fine-tuning an element, not major changes like repositioning entire sections of the design. This is why it’s important to be as specific as possible when filling out the form. Any additional changes beyond the two rounds may incur an extra charge.

I promise you're in good hands! The best pieces happen when a client either lets me run wild with creativity or is super clear on their vision from the start. Once the tweaks are done, I'll bring everything to life, fire up the kiln, and send your plate on its way to you!

  • How Long Will the Bespoke Process Take?

My standard lead time is 4-6 weeks from the time the form is submitted.

Design approval time will depend on your responsiveness and how soon we are able to move forward. While the first part of the process moves quickly, please keep in mind that the later stages—especially colouring and firing—take the most time.

Please don’t expect the full order to be ready quickly after the first stage – the early steps may seem fast, but the overall timeline remains 4-6 weeks due to the detailed finishing process.

Single-colour orders will generally be completed faster than full-colour ones, as more intricate designs take longer to paint and finish.

Colouring and firing schedules are what extend the timeline, as each piece needs to be carefully processed and dried before final firing.

  • Can I Expedite the Process?

Unfortunately, I'm unable to bump people up the waiting list. Given the limited amount of slots and the popularity of the work, I operate on a first come first served basis. That being said, please trust that I aim to get all orders to clients in the most timely manner possible.

  • What are the Delivery Terms?

For UK orders, shipments will be dispatched via Royal Mail.

I can ship items worldwide via DHL. Please note that duties, transport costs, and taxes may apply and will be added to your bill. The delivery cost you pay at checkout covers shipping only—duties and taxes are not included and, if applicable, will be payable directly to DHL upon delivery.

As a small business, I do my best to keep shipping costs fair, but unlike larger competitors, I’m unable to absorb additional delivery fees beyond what’s already covered. I appreciate your understanding and support!
